RECYCLINGJars
Jars can be recycled after contents are used up. One way is to just simply throw them into your recycling bin, but there is a better way of doing it & also ways in which you can make some extra money as well. The best way is to remove the lids, wash both jars & lids & then put them in the recycling bin separatly. This helps to reduce the time & effort involved at the recycling plant. If you have local markets or know of people who make jams etc.. in your area, you may like to ask them if they need some jars. Most people would love to have these items & will be willing to either barter with you for some of their products or for a little bit of money. You'd be surprised. This is a great way to recycle as people making these jams usually need to buy them new. This results in more recycling needed to be done later on, plus the green house gas producted in making more new one. It's better to hold onto them all. It doesn't matter what size or kind of jars you use, you should be able to find someone who is looking at buying them or barter with you. Newspapers Firstly unless you really need to buy the newspaper, it's probably better not to. The amount of newspapers we read & waste is uncountable! You can recycle these items as pretty much everyone knows. Place them into your recycle bin. There is another way to use these newspapers which can help to reduce the amount of recycling & also great for your gardens. Why not try this! When preparing a garden bed or freshening up your garden, you can use your old newspapers to create a base before adding your compost or soil into your garden bed. Just lay a few layers of sheets of the newspaper down first, then add your soil on top. If your adding plants all you need to do is cut out some holes where you need them to be placed first. This helps to keep the moisture in the soil for your plants but also helps reduce the amount of weeds which come through, thus reducing or even eliminating the use of chemicls in your garden to remove the weeds.
